The exhibition will be on view on the first floor of the Brooklyn Coffee House located at 209 Douglas Ave, in Providence, RI. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday 8am-2pm, during public events and by appointment.

Join us for an Artist's Reception on Thursday, March 19th from 6–8pm. Light refreshments will be served. Free on and off-street parking is available.

Debra Maher

Southeastern Massachusetts-based illustrative designer, Debra Maher, loves to be outdoors taking photos and making notes of what has visually caught her eye. Back in her studio, she sketches to form a visual dialogue of shape, pattern and color, from which she interprets into a graphic representation of her inspiration that is fueled by a strong affinity for printmaking and surface design.

A designer for over 25 years, Debra naturally gravitates to digital media, using a Wacom tablet and stylus to create her artwork. All the while, she remains keenly aware of her mark-making when using traditional media. It is the combination of working digitaly while thinking traditionally that she ultimately embraces, with a final outcome that begs the question, "what medium is that?"

Cathren Housley

CAMEO PARK: Cathren Housley is a mutidisciplinary artist and writer who lives and works in East Providence, RI. She has illustrated five children’s books since 2009, and developed product lines for Cathedral Art Metal, Providence and with Affinity Ornamental, Barrington, RI. Since 2013, Cathren has been a RISCA grant funded artist, bringing art and workshops to the children of the Providence Community Libraries.

The illustrations in this collection were created for the gift line, Cameo Park. The images from this collection have been printed as greeting cards and posters for companies including Amcal, CA, Marcel Shurman, CA, and for Modernart Editions, NY.
